Polka Dots Please

Image
I love how Polka Dots are so versatile. You don't need to wait for a season to wear them or in fact wait for any occasion. I've got enough of my polka dots outfits and I love all of them. Especially this blazer.. I was bit skeptical when I bought this if it looks too formal and works well only as formals. But let me tell you. This will go with anything and everything.. for a work meeting with formal trousers and shirts, at the same time you can wear for a family dinner or carry it as a warmer for a cocktail party when you feel chills with your drinks. Or for a girls casual day-out wearing with a simple jeans and t-shirt like this one.  Here, I styled it with my favourite jeans over a tube top, accessorised with a simple choker and an aqua shade finger ring (not well captured but another favourite one). Ended with a pony tail and black heels which I think gave a classy look, no? What do you think? Let me know how it works for you. Remember the Fearless g...

Summer Dream

Image
Starting with some "long time no see" ranting.. 😀 I can't believe that its been such a long time I opened the blog to write a post. The last time I was here, I wrote a long travel post with some nice pictures and I lost the whole thing for the second time when I was editing the format. I got fed up and procrastinated it forever.  Then this post was supposed to go in summer around August. But I realised that managing a blog with a full-time job (which you love the most), travelling, other hobbies and long to-do lists of personal errands is not an easy task after all. And falling sick in-between all this makes it even more worse. The blog totally had to take a back seat. Coming to the weather part, this year has been a disaster. Every one of us felt like we got cheated by Stavanger. Or the Sun God decided not to visit us. Or the Earth didn't tilt well enough for Norway to get some Sun. Whatever! Would you believe if I say that this whole year gave us the su...

Indianizing Saint Patrick's day outfit

Image
Ok. Neither I live in Ireland nor do we celebrate it in Norway. But I realised very late that today is Saint Patricks day and started to look through my gallery to post something when I found these flashback pictures which I felt are apt for the occasion.. with the prints on the dress and leaves behind. Just that it is an Indianised version :)  For the unknown, St. Patricks day is celebrated in Ireland with green costumes and is related to christianity.  I felt a bit funny to post this.. but I'm also surprised not to find a single picture from Indian fashionistas showcasing for the day. Why not!  I, anyway never had a chance to post these pictures on the blog.  So I decided to post them away. Could you find something Indianized? Leave the link in the comments.

A trip to winter wonderland: Tonstad, Norway

Image
Have you ever wondered what Scandinavians do in the cold, windy, dark winters?  They visit the mountains. They stay at cabins. They ski. I know the other part of the world must be thinking if I'm crazy to talk about winters and snow in March as you are probably approaching or already approached warmer season. But remember, we live in the North? The cold is still happening here and we're just back from our winter break coping up with the on and off cold climate. Exciting no? Basically when you live in Scandinavia, you'll see 2 categories of people in winters. One which goes to a warm place like Spain to skip the dark winters and get some sun and tan. The other goes to mountains to ski and embrace more snow. I'm definitely in the latter category.. despite the fact, that I sometimes still get annoyed of dressing up in too many layers and the darkness. But as they say, there is no bad weather, only bad clothing! When we were invited by our friends to their old tradit...

What is L.O.V.E.?

Image
The four lettered happiest, hurtful, mysterious (and what not!) word causing happiness, pain and loads of confusion in lives of people. While I started to write something about it on this "so called" special day, nothing popped up in my mind. Like nothing. Nada.  I questioned myself - Can we really say/write about love? Can we really define love? Isn't Love a feeling to experience and an expression to let someone know about your feeling? There are SO many kinds of love that words alone can never do it justice. Probably that is the reason they simplified it to the phrase 'I Love You'. Love towards our parents, siblings, husband/wife, kids, family, friends, pets, acquaintances, and even to a stranger, we show our love and respect. Each one of us has our own feeling, experience, definition and obviously our own ways of expressing it. Love is like a sneeze, I feel.. you know.. the restlessness before and the relaxation after. Its exactly the same. And yo...

Snow

Image
Stavanger has some of the beautiful snow days. Unlike many other European cities, it has very less snowfall every year and it doesn't last for more than two days. You might wonder why I'm happy with less and short snowfalls when I really like having snow around? You would understand if you have ever lived in a cold place that snows for several days and lasts too long - time when you need to spend a lot of time cleaning drive ways and wind shields. Seriously! that task is annoying and makes me sick doing it every single day till winter ends.  So this place Stavanger makes it easy for you to still enjoy the light snowfall and skip the cleaning part. But of-course you definitely can visit a near-by ski resort or mountains to enjoy that x-centimeters/few feet powdered snow that you can taste. Yes, I did! :-D The best time is post the snowfall when the leaf less branches are filled with snow flakes creating a black and white scenic view all around ❤ I just wish we have some m...
