Easter vibes
Bringing in some Easter vibes.. of course have to do this in Indian style ;)
From Google: The Easter season is filled with yellow: chicks, colored eggs, yellow flowers reborn in spring and, most importantly, sunshine. Yellow flowers are symbol of friendship. (So are yellow heart emojis.) And in a religious context, gold represents joy, victory and triumph, as in the resurrection's triumph over death.
So here I am, presenting this saree that I wore for an Indian festival in my recent trip.
I loved the color and the pattern so much that we bought the same pattern in different colors, and i am stuck with this beautiful spring color.
I did not have time during the trip to get the blouse stitched, so fixed it with an old golden colored one.
As i am neither an expert in sarees nor the draping, kept it simple with steps. And i think this draping style suited the saree pattern as well.
Paired the look with simple and my favorite ruby+emerald jewellery. And what is an Indian festival without gold!
One lesson i learnt from this draping is that - never ever wear a light weight saree without a fall. 🙈
As i didn't have time for pico and blouse, i wore it without fall and the saree was not stiff enough, holding on to me. Though it's a well known fact, we still do sometimes. So not again!
How do you like the color? Let me know in the comments below.
