Hope you all had a nice Christmas! I could not miss posting Indian style for Christmas, which I actually styled for last Christmas while in India.😉

Easter vibes

Image
Bringing in some Easter vibes.. of course have to do this in Indian style ;) From Google: The Easter season is filled with yellow: chicks, colored eggs, yellow flowers reborn in spring and, most importantly, sunshine. Yellow flowers are symbol of friendship. (So are yellow heart emojis.) And in a religious context, gold represents joy, victory and triumph, as in the resurrection's triumph over death. So here I am, presenting this saree that I wore for an Indian festival in my recent trip.  I loved the color and the pattern so much that we bought the same pattern in different colors, and i am stuck with this beautiful spring color. I did not have time during the trip to get the blouse stitched, so fixed it with an old golden colored one. As i am neither an expert in sarees nor the draping, kept it simple with steps. And i think this draping style suited the saree pattern as well.  Paired the look with simple and my favorite ruby+emerald jewellery. And what is an Indian festival with

I missed flying!

Image
Recently I travelled for the first time during Covid in the last 2.5 years! It was the longest since I haven't taken a flight. I couldn't contain my excitement when the flights were finally booked to fly home after postponing the trips for few times due to covid. I feel as excited for fly-time as much I am for my vacation itself. This time I realized how much I missed airports - from baggage check-ins, struggling with liquids at security, shopping during transits, airplane watching, to watching movies and the food on-board. Don't judge me on the last part. I see those good times are slowly coming back, I missed flying! What part during travel do you enjoy the most? These pictures are a throwback to when transit times were non-covid and you are free to roll around at the airports.. and maybe do a photoshoot.😉

Summer Snow

Image
The last weekend trip that was cancelled was a plan to go to the quiet mountains for skiing. This time I missed most of the winter days due to travel and other priorities. It's almost spring in most parts of the world, but I am still looking forward to ski in the coming weeks - you know the desire when you live in Norway.  While the plan didn't materialize, reminiscing some snow pictures from the past.  There's a funny story behind these pictures.  One of the last summers, we actually been on a hike trip to Preikestolen and stayed at a cabin. In the next days, the plan was to make another hike, this time to Kjerag and one of my most favorite hikes. While we rested after our first hike at the cabin and tried enquiring officials about the weather on top of Kjerag so we could dress up accordingly, we were surprised with an answer that there is still snow everywhere but the hike was open. Which basically meant we needed winter hiking gear. Though we didn't dare to do a snow

Review: Lumene Arctic Berry Oil-Cocktail

Image
In collaboration with Buzzador and Lumene, Lumene came right on time when I needed it the most during this winter in Norway. I have VERY dry skin, and always look for heavy moisturizers. I started using Lumene's Arctic Berry Oil-Cocktail that has been great on my skin so far. It's a light face oil that is rich in Vitamins C, E (and others) and omega fatty acids that I was ken on using with. It isn't greasy, and i could combine it with my regular moisturizers to be hydrated and bear the harsh winter. It feels pleasant on my acne prone skin and smells good as well. The fun part is that it looks like a cocktail that needs to be mixed/shaken well before usage. If you have oily or combination skin, you might need to check out their other products . Overall, I love this product and would give it a rating of 4.5 out of 5. Disclaimer: I am writing this review only from personal experience. Skin care works differently on different skins, hence I recommend you to check the Lumene ing
