Few days ago, we had an announcement from the Government office about Norway being fully open now, celebrating with fireworks in the city center. It was a good celebration with crowds gathering, which turned out into police having trouble to control them. This sounds good to me as its been a while hearing about crowds.. haha.. More than 90% of the population has been vaccinated.. without much hassle like in other countries (you know which one I am talking about!). We are very glad that Norway has such smooth and extra cautious procedures that make our lives pretty easy. Personally, I did not have any side effects from vaccines, and none of our families and friends either. *touch wood* Though we did not have major lockdowns or mask rules in Norway like other countries, we did have a low death rate, and people falling sick quite often during the last few months. Spending summer in India has become a big trouble if you are living in one of those hottest regions.. especially in the South or the far North. I made my latest trip to India during summer unlike every time and it was just around 40 degrees Celsius.. yea, just 40. There are also places that reached 45.. so you can imagine! Attending a traditional function in that sweltering heat is an absolute night mare! But it's been a while I attended these occasions (cons of living abroad) and I have been waiting to attend a traditional party. So when I received this house warming invitation from a cousin, I couldn't say no. But the next big question was WHAT TO WEAR. My initial plan was to put on a saree but I immediately dropped that idea 2 days after landing in the city. Next came Anarkalis. So, I just had a month-long mixed-events vacation in India. Events being - birth in the family, death in dad's family, wedding of a friend and split of another.  After attending all these, I am back to  reality of my life in Norway after 24hours of travel and transits. It feels stupid to travel such long time to Europe because I couldn't get a better flight in my budget. On top of that, they advanced my flight. So imagine how much fun I must have had passing transit time of over 10hours. Taking a whole month vacation, coming back and getting settled to work is certainly not new to me. Inspite of doing it for more than 3years now, this time its kind of more home sickness that made me feel different. And then my mom cries every time I call her [moms you know!]. Blogging not even once every month is not unusual for me. And I think I am going to continue the era this year also. Oh well, you see it already. After excitedly waiting months to see the new little one in the family, I am home!  My sister recently had a baby boy.  Yay me, I am an aunt one more time.  He being the first boy in the family, everyone is super excited. He is getting special attention and privileges . Everyone wants to take care of him and respond to all his restlessness expressions. He is no less either. He needs attention. He becomes restless when he can't hear us talking or giving him all those lullabies. The cute tiny fellow is keeping us busy already. I am happy for my dad. My best holiday or taking break from work would be to spend with family (which is 1000s miles away from me), doing nothing, only shopping and eating out. And this is what just happened in the last 2months. Break from work is sometimes a headache coz when you go back everything seems to be new and hectic. Not to face this, I resigned my job.. to get into a new one, move to a new place and start a new life. This new life is going to be totally different from what I've been living till now. Moved from America to Europe. Finally landed in Norway after 2months of happy holidays. This place is nice. I've been here for a short trip before and pretty much getting adjusted to the weather and everything here. Europe is a nice place as u can visit many other countries with just one visa. I can never forget this trip to India. All excited. Sudden visits. Sudden decisions. Sudden plans. And all turned to be good. *touch wood* The only thing that went wrong is the damage to my dad's car. But again good is that he didn't bother about it much. The reason? There I was! :P I spent my vacation to the fullest.. without wasting a single minute. Good time with family, cousins, friends, parties, shopping. It was a memorable trip. I had a solid one month vacation. The return flight from India was good and bad. Good because got a chance to fly with The Special One, bad because I was missing home terribly. I almost became sick and was planning to go back. Sitting at the airport, I started to check my calendar and count days for my next trip. But now I am back to the US of A and feels like I am home, once again. This place turned to be my second home - Where I have my happy, sad, excited, disappointed moments. Aahh!! What a feeling to be home!! The internal joy started almost a month back with loads of shopping, everyone asking my dates of travel and family saying come home soon :) I miss home alot, sometimes ! Its good and tough at the same time to be away from home. Good because you get to have your time , friends, trips etc. You don't need to take permissions for everything. You can sleep at 2 or 3AM, wake up in the afternoons, skip showers, eat junk, meal once a day, go out, drive crazy, watch 3movies one after the other, reach home in the midnight and you dont have anyone to question. Isn't it nice? But wait! Moving all these aside, imagine you have fallen sick/broke up with friends/hectic times at work/no time for yourself/no time to cook and eat/no where to go, there comes the feeling called homesickness ! A terrible feeling which makes us to feel like crying but we don't really dare to cry. I had such times! Bad feeling it was! Anyways, finally I am home and also...
