  1. My last 2days were crazy. I just don't have time anything to blog and so decided to ramble away!
  2. I am slapping myself right now for promising to post twice a week and failing and then trying to make an excuse in my point 1. However, I still have some hopes on my promise *shutting up and hiding*
  3. Why do people say Random Ramblings? Rambling means talking randomly, no?
  4. Planned to decorate our small kind-of-christmas-tree this evening.
  5. My tummy is shouting "I am hungry.. feed me, you bitch!".
  6. Its funny that I read Idly as Idli instead of Idle-ly :P This means my tummy is right.
  7. I am visiting India soon!!! I am flying over London to meet my cousins and friends. I applied for visa and would get it soon, hopefully!
  8. Waiting is such a pain in the a$$. Did I really say that? I thought I just typed-in a random special character.
  9. Ordered a camera for dad. This is going to be a surprise for him :)
  10. Countlessly playing this song from a tamil movie. I don't understand it but love SP BalaSubramaniam's voice and the background music. I am actually listening to it and writing typing this.
  11. Decided for a heavy shopping this weekend.
  12. Waiting for photoshoot in my christmas dress. It's my first black and green combo.
I am making it clear that I may not have time to blog but still have time for photoshoots :P And so are these pictures.
Living in Texas, I somehow became a Texan. Texans are famous for Rodeos and cowboys and I can't miss the chance to dress up like them. My hat is missing, though. I would get it by next Rodeo show.

  2. Waiting is really one of the worst things to do and you have typed in correctly.
Your tummy is speaking all truth :-) feed it.
Will wait for the Christmas special post.
Both the styles were good but open hair was the one I liked...
Have nice and safe trip to India.
(Uncle will be happy to see you and your gift)

  3. Hey Pria.. the open hair suits you more :) anyways I loved the whole cowboy look... and have fun with your future plans and trips :)

  4. welcome to India Pria...and ramblings help ease some blocks sometimes so you could get posting more regularly:-)

I always like the open hair look more-suits any style:-)

  5. Rambling just means talking on and on and on! It can be random or not.. anyway that's just my theory! :P
I like the braided hair for this outfit.. gives it a more tomboy-ish look.

Happy Sankranthi/Pongal/Lohri

Happy New Year, people! Hope you all had a wonderful start of the year. Mine certainly did that locked me up for first 2weeks. Had a busy start of the year which has so far been so good.

India has just celebrated one of the largest festivals during last week. Its called Sankranthi or Pongal or Lohri depending on the region you are from and is celebrated in most parts of South India.
A festive week right after the New Year ending the cold days with celebration of welcoming Sun God and beginning of harvest season. Its a close to heart festival for farmers but it does is celebrated across India. Of course being away from India, we just welcomed snow on this part of the world and miss having bonfires, doing rangolis outside our homes. And festive fooood, how can anyone forget that. Though I wouldn't enjoy the 3rd day of this festival anymore as I reduced my meat intake now. Yes, the third day called Kanuma is dedicated to eating only meat :(

Coming to the outfit of the day, this is a v…

Indianizing Christmas Day outfit :)

Remember the blog post I wrote last year Indianizing St. Patricks Day outfit
You don't, do you?
Then sprint over to that post first.

Ok, now that I have your attention..

Please note that I am back to blogging.. as always. I now started calling myself as "Occasional blogger" after I realised that I can't be regular here anymore. Though I have been reading other blog posts quite regularly, but writing one has become so hard for me. So I hope I will let myself have this tag at-least.

While I was chilling on this 5days long weekend break loading myself with sugar, I decided to do this Chrismassy post. It is a beautiful time of the year everywhere and what more than dedicating it with a red outfit!
This dress is one of my all time favorites and very special. Its a simple ready-made dress (which I stole from my sister 😬). The color and fitting instantly caught my eye and I love it more for the mesh fabric and dupatta. I paired it with antique colored jewellery and brown san…

Polka and Neon love

While polka dots have been trending for a long time and will be in forever, I never thought I would love neons as much until I tried it a couple of years ago. Since my childhood, neon shades have been treated as such blocking colours, I didn't want to be an odd man out wearing them. And wearing them on a bright day can easily hurt the eyes of audience.  BUT.. one day or the other, you try what you got to try, isn't it? And a little bit of  colour blocking wouldn't hurt anyone either!
So we did this shoot when I unusually had a chance to wear sleeveless dress in Stavanger. I wanted to keep it neon themed and chose to wear this light neon-pink polka dots dress that I got for my birthday few years ago. At the same time, didn't want to overload the neon, hence kept it simple with easy-going neon earrings and shoes styling with monochrome bag and jewellery.
Now I see that I'm slowly incorporating these colours in my everyday style. Neons should become a must-have in a gi…
