Christmas Holidays..

i always wanted to be in the US for the christmas eve.. i felt lucky to be here this yr.. dnt knw but i m sumhow attached to this festival.. even in India i luv visiting churches, my frens place to see their decorations, christmas tree n al.. so i thot i wud hav a grt tym here, may not b wit my frens (as dint plan fr any trips this time) but atleast wit ppl around.. but evrything was quite opposite..

i cud feel the smell of christmas here aftr thanks giving.. as this is the only festival they make here, they all look excited the whole month till the next yr.. all my colleagues made their plans n eagerly waiting fr their trips.. i had to work the whole week as i was the only stand-in left for all of them.. i cud see all busy in getting gifts for loved ones.. my office was decorated aftr thanks giving n it was luking so colorful n pleasant like this.. these r frm my SLR.. i loved these shots..

i clicked these pictures before christmas, the last day when i was all alone in office n also @ home.. no colleagues, no roomies, no frens.. i cud not njoi a single moment of christmas this yr.. i was completely all alone.. had fight wit frens.. so no contacts.. evryone stopped calling me n vice-versa.. this is certainly not ego at my end.. but they feel so.. leaving tht apart.. my roomie and i thot of going out on christmas.. but unfortunately everything was closed n we wasted tym till aftrnoon then we decided to go to a Mediterranean restaurant.. Dimassi's.. we had grt lunch thr.. we were eating fr almost 90minutes.. n later cud nt walk back to home.. our stomachs were fully filled wit tht awsum food.. :P

i knw i cud nt njoi my holidays only becoz of one reason.. my MOOD.. i fight wit frens n make my mood so bad tht it will spoil al my days till i talk to thm again.. yeah i called thm finally.. warned thm so much not to repeat all this which makes me crazy n lonely.. :P

i cud not stay at home all alone all these days so decided to go meet my fren n go for shoping atleast.. we went to a mall.. i felt ppl just grabbed away all the stuffs for christmas n nothing was left in the shops.. :) all shops were luking dull n weak wit no stuff.. i had to roam around the whole mall to get 2handbags, 2jewellery sets, 2tops.. i got the pleasure of playing wit this shweeto thr.. :D

got back home happily.. started cooking setting room as usual again.. n today i woke up aroung 2PM.. so sick i am!! i luv sleeping.. :P had my super lunch n nw sitting bfr computer n typing al this non-sense.. :P neva want 2 spend my days so boring againnn..!!!!

Happy Sankranthi/Pongal/Lohri

Happy New Year, people! Hope you all had a wonderful start of the year. Mine certainly did that locked me up for first 2weeks. Had a busy start of the year which has so far been so good.

India has just celebrated one of the largest festivals during last week. Its called Sankranthi or Pongal or Lohri depending on the region you are from and is celebrated in most parts of South India.
A festive week right after the New Year ending the cold days with celebration of welcoming Sun God and beginning of harvest season. Its a close to heart festival for farmers but it does is celebrated across India. Of course being away from India, we just welcomed snow on this part of the world and miss having bonfires, doing rangolis outside our homes. And festive fooood, how can anyone forget that. Though I wouldn't enjoy the 3rd day of this festival anymore as I reduced my meat intake now. Yes, the third day called Kanuma is dedicated to eating only meat :(

Coming to the outfit of the day, this is a v…

Indianizing Christmas Day outfit :)

Remember the blog post I wrote last year Indianizing St. Patricks Day outfit
You don't, do you?
Then sprint over to that post first.

Ok, now that I have your attention..

Please note that I am back to blogging.. as always. I now started calling myself as "Occasional blogger" after I realised that I can't be regular here anymore. Though I have been reading other blog posts quite regularly, but writing one has become so hard for me. So I hope I will let myself have this tag at-least.

While I was chilling on this 5days long weekend break loading myself with sugar, I decided to do this Chrismassy post. It is a beautiful time of the year everywhere and what more than dedicating it with a red outfit!
This dress is one of my all time favorites and very special. Its a simple ready-made dress (which I stole from my sister ūüė¨). The color and fitting instantly caught my eye and I love it more for the mesh fabric and dupatta. I paired it with antique colored jewellery and brown san…

Polka and Neon love

While polka dots have been trending for a long time and will be in forever, I never thought I would love neons as much until I tried it a couple of years ago. Since my childhood, neon shades have been treated as such blocking colours, I didn't want to be an odd man out wearing them. And wearing them on a bright day can easily hurt the eyes of audience.  BUT.. one day or the other, you try what you got to try, isn't it? And a little bit of  colour blocking wouldn't hurt anyone either!
So we did this shoot when I unusually had a chance to wear sleeveless dress in Stavanger. I wanted to keep it neon themed and chose to wear this light neon-pink polka dots dress that I got for my birthday few years ago. At the same time, didn't want to overload the neon, hence kept it simple with easy-going neon earrings and shoes styling with monochrome bag and jewellery.
Now I see that I'm slowly incorporating these colours in my everyday style. Neons should become a must-have in a gi…
