The best thing I like about Stavanger, Norway is the water place which is called the City Center (Senctrum in Norsk - language of Norway). This is the only place that is busy all the times in Stavanger except Sunday [yes, everything is closed on Sundays :-(]. All the shoppping and restaurants are located around this place and its so nice to take a walk along the water side. There are ferris always available to go to the fyords around. Another post on fyords if you would like to see? Another nice thing about Stavanger is, in which ever direction you go in the city, you can see water. There are roads going on water, over water and infact in water * Ok, I agree on and over doesn't make difference*. Believe me, the tunnels passing through water are scary. This is one of those pictures when I had the mood to capture my city. You can find the other one here .

PS: I know, I know. Wondering that its been 3months we celebrated Christmas and of course we are done with Easter vacation as well, and I am still with my Christmas vacation post? This post has almost been dying in my drafts. So I decided to get rid of this today. I can't ignore posting few posts - How much ever late they are! My ideal/dream Christmas and New Year time is to celebrate with: Heavy snow, making snow man Decorating christmas tree Inviting friends for dinners, parties Shopping Become a santa, g ift children Eat a delicious cake.  No wonder I failed one more time in last 3consecutive years. Every time I had a chance, I had something else popping up suddenly. Well this time, it happened again but in a different way. Infact in the totally opposite way.  There wasnt snow, there wasnt cold. But there was Sun. Couldnt decorate a tree but could get fresh air from it. Friends, dinners, parties could never  be missed. Whereever I go, Shopping follows ...

"Hello!!" I don't even remember the last time I logged in here. I come rushing checking for new posts and gone and didn't know I have several draft posts. I have been having tough times balancing my life. It has been hectic running between home, office, friends, vacations and miscellaneous. Well, before getting back on track of my routine schedule and trying to blog here, I leave you with these pictures.

The only season I know of Europe is winter. Moving from the hottest region (Texas) in America to the coldest region in Europe, I felt it more cold than usual. But now I feel much better. Much accustomed to the weather. Spring and summers are the best times here we wait for. This outfit was worn in Riga, a place in Latvia, Europe. In-spite of the weather being dull, I hate people who prefer wearing dull clothes. They wear black, brown, grey, bluish (almost black) clothes and walk on those dark roads. And you never know whom you are going to hit on a bad day. Otherwise, Europe is a rather beautiful and scenic than the US, I must say! When the black and white weather decided to be bright and sunny one morning, everything seemed to be fresh and welcoming. And I decided to be little more colorful. It's a cute summer dress which I had to damage  manage with leggings and a jacket coz of the weather.

When Nilam had hit India and Sandy had hit the States, something had hit us too. On a stormy evening... in Norway.

Am I the last one to put on polka dots? There was this trend where I have seen nothing except polka. At work, at shopping, at blogging, at parlors, at parties, at random places and in-fact at home too. Polka is aways pretty but at one time I wanted to be away from it. I never bought one for myself but gifted to my sister. It looks pretty on everyone (..this includes me I believe). Finally I got this pretty polka dots dress and totally in love with it. It made me look more slim and perfectly fit. Last weekend was a visit to Germany. It's a beautiful historical country. Historical places find to be boring sometimes. But cities in Germany like Berlin, the capital, has got those old stories and beauty in each of its constructions, I must say. Every building has some significance in history. If not, significance in the way its built.
